Sara Parkman is a Swedish folk musician who has redefined the genre by combining tradition with bold innovation. In a career spanning over 15 years, she has won a Swedish Grammy, received numerous awards and earned a reputation as a groundbreaking artist. Her music moves effortlessly between the sacred and the primal, the country and the nightclub. In addition to being a violinist, singer and composer, she is a cultural force that challenges and reshapes the boundaries of folk music. Constantly evolving, Parkman plumbs the artistic and emotional depths with each project she tackles.

In her songs, Annie Bloch molds a passing feeling into a shape. It is an attempt to hold something that defies logic and then inevitably takes on a life of its own. If it becomes a story, it is a fragmented one - the romanticization fails, the rhyme does not work.

Their sound remains human, raw and direct, not striving for perfection, but for utopia. It should feel light and urgent. Annie Bloch mixes her guitar picking, which is reminiscent of Adrianne Lenker, with acoustic drums, bass and a synth-sounding second guitar, into the harmony of which you immerse yourself and are enveloped by the velvety warmth of her voice. A moment of well-being that provides comfort and strength, only to plunge back into the depths, face the next contradictions and get loud where necessary. Despite the dreamy echoes, the settings of her songs are not poetically transfigured, but are presented in the clear, dry light of everyday life.
