Formed during the COVID-19 lockdown in a home studio in Melbourne, Playlunch is a chaotic, genre-blending fusion of retro dance music, late ’90s/early 2000s Australian nostalgia, and tongue-in-cheek suburban swagger; the band has carved out its own irreverent niche dubbed “Bogan Funk.”
