With his modern way of interpreting progressive guitar music, Plini is undoubtedly one of the most creative instrumentalists of his generation. Steve Vai called him the "future of exceptional guitar playing" back in 2017, describing the Australian's talent more than aptly. Nominated as Guitarist of the Year at the 2018 National Live Music Awards, Plini has established a unique style that is unparalleled between virtuoso instrumental music, progressive metal, funk, jazz and art rock, while constantly elaborating an independent language of modern guitar music .It is therefore not surprising that he has long since become a figurehead for brands such as Strandberg and Neural DSP. Within the modern prog scene, Plini is also a true prime example of the DIY ethos of a bedroom artist who has achieved worldwide fame through home recording and self-marketing and who has carved out the dream of a life as a musician for himself over the years. But Plini is not the only gifted musician. His band, consisting of Simon Grove (bass) and Chris Allison (drums), Jake Howsam Lowe (guitar) and Dave Mackay (keyboards), is also a real treat for music lovers. After touring as support for Animals As Leaders, TesseracT and Polyphia, Plini is coming to Germany in August for six headline shows with his current EP "Mirage".
