Poetry Slam 2025

The stage is set for a literary competition in a class of its own: the Paderborn City Poetry Slam Championships are returning and promise three unforgettable evenings full of creative brilliance and rousing performances.

Under the patronage of Kultslam e.V., the city championships will take place this year in the form of two semi-finals and a grand final. The semi-finals will be held on July 1 at Sputnik and on July 2 at the city library. There, the participants will put their literary skills to the test in order to secure a place in the final.

The grand finale will take place on July 10 in the studio stage of the Paderborn Theater. There, the best poets from the semi-finals will compete against each other to win the title of "Paderborn Rockstar".

Poetry slam is a modern literary competition! Self-written texts are performed without props and disguises in front of a listening audience within a set time limit! Comedy & seriousness, poetry & prose, rap & classical music, young & old and everything in between come together here. The decision-making power of the evening is always in the hands of the audience. This guarantees that no two evenings will be the same.
