In the organizer's words:

Poetry Slam op Platt, wat en Aggewars! No, of course not, because this is perhaps the most interesting cultural event of our time combined with the most beautiful language in the world - Low German.
But what is a poetry slam anyway?

Poets compete against each other with texts they have written themselves. The texts are judged by a random jury from the audience and a winner is chosen at the end. But there are fantastic texts to be heard along the way.

And for the first Plattdütsch show of Kampf der Künste in Hamburg, we have come up with something special: High German vs. Low German! In other words, there will be plenty of banter and performances, endless dööntjes, but also the odd thought pulled out of the air. An evening full of humor, lyrics, prose and poetry. Really wat to beleven!
