Poison Ruïn

Poison Ruin was founded in Philadelphia in 2020. It began as a solo recording project but evolved into a full band by the end of the year. Their music combines classic anarcho/crust punk with a variety of influences such as Oi!, American post-punk, NWOBHM and dungeon synth. The band relies heavily on dark medieval imagery and lyrical themes combined with anarcho iconography. A compilation of their 2020 demos was released as an LP in 2021, followed by the 'Not Today, Not Tomorrow' 7" in 2022.

Poison Ruin - a dark and driving sound that captivates and entices while maintaining an endearing layer of isolation from the listener. Over the humble layers of gritty melody and hard punk energy lies a movie or grit, something like The Outsiders "One to Infinity" in the house that The Wipers, Modern Warfare and A Touch of Hysteria built. It's anarchic, pogo-worthy and catchy enough to sing to your friends when your cell phone battery dies. Flashes of electronic and synth textures color the dark and dank corners of Poison Ruin's soundscape, making sure we all get a glimpse of an open horizon we're heading towards.
