PolaroX is proof that rock bands don't age - they sharpen their profile.

What began in 2000 as a youth band under the name Goodfellas developed over more than two decades into a major force on the Leipzig rock scene, most recently as Polarock. In 2025, after a change in the band line-up, the name was changed to PolaroX - as a sign of continuity, but also change.

Musically, PolaroX moves confidently between alternative and modern rock, with audible influences from Foo Fighters, The Killers, Beatsteaks and Bush. Different musical influences come together and create tension in the songwriting. The lyrics are mainly in English, occasionally in German - depending on what the respective song requires.

At the end of November 2025, the band went into the studio with producer Tassilo Männer in a new four-piece line-up. The album "Alive" was created there: newly arranged songs, clearly tailored to the current formation, with noticeable energy and naturalness. The title seems almost casually apt - because even after 26 years of band history, PolaroX sounds anything but routine, but rather alert, present and agile.

Experience from band contests, appearances with "Jennifer Rostock", final appearances at Emergenza and a long history together are not ballast here, but the foundation. Today, PolaroX sound like a band that knows where they come from - and that's exactly why they play forwards.

The new album "alive" will soon be released on all known streaming services. On Saturday, PolaroX will present their new and old songs and, together with "Rising Sons", will ensure an unforgettable evening.
