Polynation, a Dutch music duo known for their eclectic mix of electronica, ambient and world music, have wowed audiences worldwide, whether on festival stages, club dance floors or through their home speakers. Their signature organic and cinematic sound emerges from live improvisations and forms the basis for both carefully produced studio tracks and mesmerizing live performances.

Connected by melancholic chord progressions, driving rhythms and electro-acoustic textures, the duo's adventurous soundtracks are raw, sensual experiences crafted with finesse. Whether played on record or live, their music is broad and immersive, rich with meaningful melodies that draw from ambient, pop, minimalism and techno. Stijn Hosman and Hessel Stuut have been working with the Dutch label Atomnation since 2015 and have released three EPs and their acclaimed debut album Igneous. They have also remixed Joep Beving on Deutsche Grammophon and won over trendsetters like Gilles Peterson with their artful sounds and complex studio wizardry.

Polynation is constantly evolving and has perfected a beautifully enriched sound that has garnered over 20 million streams on Spotify alone. Their dynamic live performances have graced festivals such as Best Kept Secret, Wildeburg, Secret Garden Festival, ADE, DGTL and clubs across Europe, providing both soothing downtime and wild and energetic rhythms at 2am with equal style and sophistication.

They use a variety of instruments including drums, analog synthesizers, piano, kalimba, bass and electric guitar as well as pedals, tape (delays) and saxophone. These acoustic sources, mixed with electronic signals, give their material a unique quality inspired by the infinite beauty of nature. Although carefully crafted, Polynation's music is alive and imperfect, rooted in real emotions but warm with machine soul.
