Pop Up Hochzeit im Grünen

OnJuly 11, 2026, we’ll be celebrating a special wedding in the countryside:

On this summer day inRösrath, the gates will open for apop-up wedding—an opportunity for couples who wish to have their relationship blessed.

A pop-up wedding is intended for all couples who wish for God’s blessing on their love, regardless of formal requirements. Whether married in a civil ceremony or not, whether straight or queer:love is love. And love should be blessed. No one should have to forgo a blessing for legal or personal reasons.

Those who are already married in a civil ceremony and meet the requirements of the Protestant Church can also have an official church wedding on-site. However, couples who simply wish for a personal and uncomplicated blessing for their love—without a church wedding—are just as welcome.

On July 11, you can drop by spontaneously or reserve a specific time in advance. Once there, you have the choice:
A blessing inside the church or outdoors in the countryside, either very intimate or right in the heart of the village, with organ, guitar, violin, or your very own personal song. A team of several officiants will work with you to create a small, personalized ritual.
This includes a brief introductory conversation, the blessing, a glass of sparkling wine (with or without alcohol), and, of course, a wedding photo.
