German punk meets rock'n'roll - the Popperklopper have been bringing the clubs of the republic to the boil with their very own punk rock style for almost 35 years now. Sometimes with their typical fast, fast songs, reminiscent of the classic political punk bands of the 80s, sometimes with England '77-influenced anthems, or occasionally with rock'n'roll and metal influences - it's the mixture that makes the difference, and this is how the band clearly stands out from the general German punk uniformity. On their 11 studio albums to date, the band has consistently avoided nonsensical jokey lyrics in favor of political and socially critical lyrics that make a statement, denounce grievances and make people think. And as long as humanity and the world don't change for the better, there's enough motivation and new material for the guys to carry on.
The band consists of Danny T. (drums), Mosche (bass) and Olli (guitar and vocals) We are a relatively bad punk band, with quite passable songs, but also the best band there is for small change. We have been around in this line-up since 2018 and have released 4 albums on our own label so far.
Unfortunately, we forgot to count our concerts, but it must be around 20,000 concerts. Yes, I'm sure it was 20,000. Punk im Pott, Ruhrpott Rodeo, Gott sei Punk etc etc.
We're from Hanover, so it's easy to get anywhere from there.
We can just about manage music, press releases aren't our strong point.
Whoever reads that is stupid.
