Alone on stage, Omar Rajeh dances and remembers an intimate past that has faded, leaving both a deceptive and deceiving image - a past that was stopped in its tracks and could not move on to the future. His movements radiate power, energy and sensuality, reflecting the depth of his inner reflections and extensive experiences as an artist in Lebanon. Through his dancing body, Rajeh demonstrates an act of resistance against oppressive structures and embodies hope in the face of adversity. Omar Rajeh has left his mark on the contemporary dance world in Lebanon and the Arab world. As the founder of Maqamat, dance festivals and live and virtual venues, his work expresses his deep belief in the transformative power of dance on individuals and society.
