With great composers such as Tom Jobim and Pat Metheny in mind, the quartet around the Hamburg guitarist and composer Pouya Abdi concentrates on spontaneity and honesty in improvisation. Risks are taken, but always with the knowledge that everyone has each other's backs. Swedish trumpeter Björn Atle Anfinsen's vocal and intuitive playing, Giorgi Kiknadze's oppressively woody bass sound and Brazilian drummer Rafa Müller's spiritual and unique playing provide the distinctive and full sound of the quartet, which, together with the band leader's profound and dynamic compositions, has long since found its voice and yet is always embarking on new musical journeys with plenty of freedom and improvisation.
