Preisträgerkonzert ad libitum

On Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 6 p.m., the prizewinners' concert of the "ad libitum" composition competition will take place in the rooms of the Waldkirch Municipal Music School. This competition aims to contribute to making an attractive, artistically high-quality and playable repertoire of contemporary music available to children, young people and adult amateurs in all genres. In what is now the ninth edition of the 2024/25 competition, seven composers have been selected who have developed new music for and with various ensembles from the Waldkirch Music School, supported by members of the Freiburg ensemble Aventure; the resulting works will be premiered by the young musicians at the prizewinners' concert.
