Once upon a time there were three married couples who had a lot of fun together. They went on cruises, weddings and other celebrations together. Then, one by one, the spouses passed away. What remained were three great women who couldn't accept that that was all there was to it. After all, Luzie could still have anyone she wanted, Ida wasn't completely satisfied with baking cookies for her grandchildren and Doris would love to dance the cha-cha-cha again. How good it is that Theo exists. The kind-hearted widower really stirs up the trio. Even the lovely Mildred doesn't change that. In the end ...? But you'll see for yourself...

These are three married couples who have a lot of fun together. So they went together on short trips, to weddings and other festivities. The men stayed close to each other. Three wonderful young friends remain, who now don't want to realize that everything has changed. Luzie can still have any guy, for Ida the cookie baking for the grandchildren is not quite enough and Doris would love to dance the Cha Cha Cha again.
How nice that Theo is there. The tough Wittman brings the trio closer together. There's nothing dear Mildred can do about it.
In the end he gets...? But that's the first thing she sees...
In the widow's club, people rant, cry, laugh, dance and talk. With the catchphrase: "Laughing with a Truerrand" is the anröhrend, nahdenklich, funny and ünnerhollen piece on the point brocht.
