Marathon's origins are as raw as their music: founded by Kay Koopmans, Lennart van Hulst and Nina Lijzenga, the band began their journey in the school days, when spontaneous jam sessions provided the initial spark for their musical vision. In the streets and clubs of Amsterdam, the trio honed their style, moved through a labyrinth of musical genres and finally found their unmistakable identity. Later, keyboardist Sofie and guitarist Victor joined and expanded the sound into a "wall of sound" that seamlessly combines noise, grunge, post-punk and shoegaze.

After a few concerts in their home country of the Netherlands, they will also be performing in Germany in June 2025.
