Like every year, curious mouse Lea and her family are looking forward to a cozy Christmas. But just before Christmas Eve, of all times, their peace and quiet is disturbed when people unexpectedly take up residence in their house: Mikkel and his family have inherited the long-empty property, where they now want to spend the holidays together. Determined to thwart the intruders, the little rodents bring out all their guns to chase them away - while a genuine friendship develops between Lea and Mikkel in the midst of the chaos.
