Quartier Latin

Four gentlemen in elegant suits with the instruments of classic dinner jazz: that's Quartier Latin. The four musicians have known each other for half a lifetime and have been playing their elegant, easy-going swing music, which encourages you to indulge or dance, for just as long. Music from a time when "jazz" did not yet stand for intellectually sophisticated music, but when "swing" was simply intended to entertain - and for this very reason was at times banned in this country. With Andreas Bartelt (saxophone), Michael Raab (piano), Jürgen Richter (double bass) and Florian Uhl (drums), four musicians have come together who have internalized this style.

As the band has its roots in cultivated background music, Quartier Latin plays purely instrumentally. But even without a singer, they have a direct line to the audience from the very first minute and sweep them away so that hardly a leg stands still. But don't worry: SWING DANCING IS ALLOWED!
