Queerfeministische Stand Up Comedy Show von Female/FLINTA*+queer Comedians

SMASH COMEDY goes RUHRGEBIET!!! Hamburg's stand-up comedy show goes on tour and stops at STAPELTOR DUISBURG!

The queerfeminist Smash Comedy Club, Hamburg's stand-up open mic by women, FLINTA* and queer comedians, is going on tour for the first time! Smash Comedy stands for stand-up without -isms: Here, night after night, proof is provided that good comedy can also do without discriminatory jokes. Sexism, racism, misogyny, ableism or queerophobia must "unfortunately" remain outside.

Instead: radical honesty and a colorful mix of different perspectives on life, society and being human.

The permanent ensemble for all shows includes Neo from Cologne, Katharina Linnepe from Berlin and Schwessi from Hamburg as presenter. They are joined by various female* comedy acts from the respective cities and regions, as well as awareness team leader and comedienne Xenia Brandt.

NEO
In a world that is often characterized by conventions, Neo is a shining exception, breaking heteronormative boundaries and opening up new horizons: with a unique style and a good dose of self-irony, Neo's stand-up comedy brings autobiographical stories to life. But Neo is more than just a comedian*. With a clear eye for social justice and an intersectional, queerfeminist perspective in various artistic projects (film, dance, theater and his own podcast), Neo opens us up to a world that is often overlooked - the reality where queer representation and diversity are at the heart.a short excerpt of Neo's previous comedy stops: Grimme Comedy Masterclass, Nightwash finale, semi-solo shows, Ladies Night Youngstars, etc.

KATHARINA LINNEPE
Katharina Linnepe is many things: presenter, podcaster, content creator, feminist comedienne and activist. All of her projects are about what our society needs to be fairer, more humane and more liveable: Feminism, diversity and commitment against the many faces of discrimination. Her view of politics and society was sharpened during her studies in political science, sociology and philosophy. Her enjoyment of
communication and her sense of humor allow Katharina to convey even the most difficult topics in an entertaining and witty way. Katharina became known to a wider audience through her appearances on numerous comedy and cabaret stages in Germany as well as through the Instagram video series "Wenn das Patriarchat in Therapie geht".

SCHWESSI
As a single mother, Schwessi has no time for surnames. She polarizes online and live on stage with her jokes, her videos and her songs, only to unite everything again beyond all clichés. In terms of content, the AfD and the patriarchy meet full-forward humor and ruthless self-irony, and pacifist utopias meet the apocalypse. In order to enrich the male-dominated stand-up scene in Germany with new, female and queer perspectives and to give marginalized voices more visibility and a hearing, Schwessi founded Germany's first queer-feminist stand-up comedy open mic in March 2023: the Smash Comedy Club. Everyone is welcome in the audience, but the stage belongs exclusively to FLINTA* (women, lesbians, inter, trans, agender) and queer comedy acts.

The SMASH COMEDY SHOW will make a guest appearance at Duisburg's STAPELTOR on October 19, 2024. Admission: 7:30 pm, show starts at 8 pm.

SMASH COMEDY is an alternative show, a stage without toxic masculinity, misogyny and racism, ableism, queer and trans hostility - a safe space, also for the audience. Motto: With maximum fun and diversity power against discrimination.

Our stand-up comedy is not political cabaret, and yet it is a political, cultural activist act. Show solidarity, educate yourself, train your empathy muscles and come to our show, we look forward to seeing you!
