Content:
Hot summer nights in New York City. In Brooklyn, young student Adnan looks after his uncle's apartment. In Chinatown, he works in a gallery where the playful, sexually charged embroideries of the older artist Sal are exhibited. Adnan had a tender affair with him a year ago, just as he experiences nightly adventures with the young food courier Yariel in the here and now. And in between, the echo of his great love for the writer Iggie reverberates. Past and present intertwine as Adnan drifts between hook-ups and the murmur of the city, between sparkling urban canyons and an enchanted forest.
Background:
Life is a work of art made of reality and fantasy in Lucio Castro's "Drunken Noodles", a supernaturally beautiful summer dream of a movie - for whom sex is as important as art. And where the one always has something to do with the other. A vision of queer lust that transcends generational boundaries; a tapestry of desire, longing and attempted closeness. And a story that is told so light-footedly and humorously as if the summer would never end. A movie to let yourself go and enjoy. One of the great discoveries of the Cannes Film Festival 2025.
Info:
In cooperation with the municipal cinema of the vhs bochum and Autonomes queer*feministisches Referat. Admission costs 6.00 euros for everyone.
