Queerfilmnacht: On the Go (OmU)

Milagros wants to get pregnant, but shies away from the anonymity of artificial insemination. She sets off for Seville in her father's old Chevrolet and picks up her best friend Jonathan, whose Grindr addiction and taste in men she wants to use for her own purposes. After all, the used condoms from his sex dates could still be good for something! The two buccaneers are joined by a third person: the international sex symbol La Reina de Triana. And then there's also a mysterious pursuer from Jonathan's past.

This impetuous road movie by María Gisèle Royo and Julia de Castro is brimming with unexpected turns, sexual innuendos and surreal dialogues. Incidentally, "On the Go" is also a queer-feminist interpretation of Gonzalo García Pelayo's classic "Corridas de Alegría" (1982) in the age of dating apps, the pursuit of eternal youth and economic insecurity. What a wild ride!
