A gay man drifts through the apartment complexes of Hong Kong, from one sex date to the next - always assuming a new identity. Sometimes, for a moment, a connection develops, real intimacy. Other times it gets ugly. Each time, he studies his counterpart closely and imitates his personality for the next date. He is an actor, scientist, architect, supplier, teacher, always on the lookout. And only really himself when he pretends to be someone else.

Sometimes cautiously groping, sometimes relentlessly probing: with his third feature film, director Jun Li succeeds in creating a sensitive film poem about the beauty of loneliness and those fleeting encounters that change a life. Queerpanorama is a sensual film that entertains and stimulates, while also philosophizing about the abysses of gay dating culture. And a movie that shows sex as it simply happens, in all its facets and positions.
