QUEERHISTORYMONTH

QueerHistoryMonth will take place in Hamburg from May 1 to 31, 2026(www.queerhistoryhamburg.de). Various events as part of the festival will bring the history(ies) of the queer community in Hamburg to life. Everyone is welcome - kings, queers, queens, allies, friends, families (of choice) and everyone in between and beyond!

The event

Intergenerational conversation about lesbian* history in Hamburg: sharing memories, discussing change, discovering common ground over coffee and cake

Intervention has been part of the lesbian* and queer movement in Hamburg since the early 1980s. But how have the lesbian* community, political struggles and queer life changed since then? And what has perhaps remained surprisingly similar?

Together we want to share memories, discuss changes and ask: What can we learn from each other?

In a relaxed atmosphere - over coffee and cake - guests are also invited to contribute their own experiences, questions and stories.

At QueerHistoryMonth, Intervention invites you to a cross-generational conversation.

All people who feel part of the lesbian* community are welcome.
