On Friday, August 23, 2024, the 13-piece music collective QUERBEAT will be kicking things off at the Aachen Kurpark Classix!

Want to bet that the pulsating brass pop of the Bonn-based formation will send out some seismic vibrations?

The term Rambazamba can have a negative connotation - depending on your point of view. It can stand for turmoil and excitement. In the interpretation of the Cologne-Bonn band Querbeat, however, Rambazamba stands exclusively for "good vibrations", for the radically positive and the unifying. With this concentrated power of constructiveness, the 13 musicians open up the world. For the electrifying combination of brass with bass, drums, electric guitar and polka, brass instruments are made for both experienced and untrained ears. Refreshingly free of clichés, yet professional and intuitive at the same time, Querbeat invite you to dance wherever they appear. The method works perfectly, and has done so for over 20 years.

It all began in 2001 in a school in Bonn. Back then, soloists who swore by Miles Davis, the Beatles and Die Ärzte developed into a group of like-minded music maniacs for whom the walls of the occupied rehearsal rooms quickly became too narrow. There is something in the air, the music they have created together wants to get out onto the streets, onto the big festival stage and into the sweaty clubs. Cover versions become original songs and the band's popularity grows steadily. Meanwhile, the band knows no fear of contact: trips to the carnival and working in the best DIY manner are not mutually exclusive. Why should it be any different? After all, music knows no pretensions.

The accolade follows in 2021: the album "Radikal Positiv" becomes a success throughout Germany, the record goes to number 2 in the album charts at supersonic speed. Nevertheless, resting is not the order of the day. Querbeat tour tirelessly, selling out medium and large open-air venues with ease. The reasons for their continued success are obvious: Querbeat have remained true to themselves, their music invites you to hop. As we all know, hope comes from bouncing. And what do people need most in these times? That's right: bouncing hope! Welcome to Aachen, Querbeat!

The concert starts at 8 pm, admission is from 6 pm. Not a picnic concert.
