The next edition of Boom Your Brains at Freddies: After “Twistomat” comes “Synaptor”! A new mix of questions and new challenges with images, text, and sound—same fun! For repeat participants: Please check the volume briefly!

Boom Your Brains is the quiz event from the Cologne-based Funfusion collective—founded by us (Vera & Ute), two sisters from Cologne-Sülz. Just like with our Pocket Quizzes, the motto is: Brains come together. Your knowledge will be put through our Twist Generator! Combine, twist, decode, think outside the box—and on top of that: lots of laughter! Finally, a quiz with “AHA!” and “HAHA!”

We’ll be hosting the quiz on the terrace at Freddie’s—relaxed, sunny (hopefully 😄), and with just the right mix of trivia, summer vibes, and good cheer. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll simply move inside to the restaurant.

👀Eating, drinking, and quizzing all happen simultaneously—it’s totally hassle-free. Sometimes things get a little wild at the table—and that’s exactly part of the fun. 😉

🎬 HOLLYWOODSTOCK: The answers to two questions merge to form a new word. The end of the first answer is the beginning of the second. Put them together and give the new word as the solution.
🖼️ NINE vs. MIND: Seven elements related to a theme are hidden in a picture—sometimes obvious, sometimes a bit more creative.
🎤 DAD SINGS: Recognize songs sung by our dad and guest stars from the family. Yes, really 😄
🗞️ FAKE NEWS: Facts have been twisted in a newspaper headline—find the mistakes and correct them.

• There are also early-bird tickets—if you want to make sure you get in, you’d better grab them quickly.

For those in Cologne: Take line 18, for example, and you’ll be there in just about 14 minutes from Barbarossaplatz. So, just a quick trip out of Cologne, and straight into the quiz.
 

🍽️ FOOD & DRINKS

There’s a good reason why Freddies is so well-known—including winning first place on “Mein Lokal, Dein Lokal.” But for our Day Quiz, the focus is deliberately on the quiz itself: That’s why we’ll be offering a small, select selection of snacks instead of a full menu on that day.

We tour different venues with set “Volumes”: The fun of the event stays the same, but each “Volume” features completely new content. That means “Volume: Twistomat” is the same everywhere—if you’ve already played it, you’re already familiar with this set of questions.
