RABEA - Cello & Alternative Pop

Cello & Alternative Pop - Cellist and singer/songwriter RABEA manifests her very own take on pop.
String arrangements wrapped in exciting musical layers of electronic sounds and beats. Striking melodies sung by a strong yet sensitive voice that tells honest stories from within. RABEA creates a world of her own and invites you to lose yourself in it.

Growing up on quiet lakes and in small villages, RABEA chose the cello as her instrument - with her heart set on pop music. After completing her classical studies at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, she reoriented herself, attended the pop course at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama in 2015 and founded the project named after her in 2016. "Despite my classical instrumental training, I've always felt drawn to pop music," says the musician. In 2019, the Hanover-based artist released her debut EP "Ask For The Moon" and toured Germany several times with her band.

In 2023, RABEA released her EP 'Kingdom' - an artistic turning point that was also felt live: With cello, voice and loop station, she conquered the stage solo for the first time. Narrative cello melodies and her distinctive voice merge with new layers of sound to create a world that ranges from wistful and intimate to stormy and majestic. "You choose to castle but need the queen", she sings in the title track and embarks on her musical heroine's journey to conquer her own creative work.

These musical extremes also characterize her concerts. Dreamy and intimate or full of energy and drama - RABEA takes her audience into a world of sound in which lyrical cello, electronic sounds and her voice form an impressive combination thanks to a loop station.
