Kinostart: Radical - Eine Klasse für sich

The sixth-graders at the Jose Urbina Lopez elementary school in Matamoros are used to not being cared for much. Their world is characterized by violence, neglect and corruption - so it is no wonder that they are among the weakest pupils in Mexico. But their new teacher Sergio Juarez (Eugenio Derbez) refuses to give up on them and shows them a way out of their lack of prospects. He addresses his class with great sensitivity and empathy in order to awaken their curiosity and, above all, their potential. Who knows, maybe there is even a genius hiding among them? While the students are surprised by his ambition, Sergio's approach is met with incomprehension in the staff room... Based on a true story.
