radioPHØNIX is a series of radiophonic sound sculptures by Timo Kreuser & PHØNIX16 together with radio stations worldwide.

PAULINE is a noise-based radiophonic live meditation.

IVO is a radioPHØNIX sound sculpture consisting of 48 tracks, each track received as a signal from a radio station and assembled into a fluid radiophonic experience. For radioPHØNIX, 24 (pirate) radio stations each transmit two isolated tracks of a composition on their stereo frequencies. In improvised listening sessions, the signals are received and transformed into an ephemeral multi-channel sound installation. Interference, dropouts and delays repeatedly push the technology itself to the forefront of the live remix improvisations. Since only a fraction of the information is available to the broadcaster itself, it leaves its hegemonic position as the center of information. The power to define the acoustic message lies with the receiver.
