"ON THE SOFT TOUR" 2024

RAHEL lives in a smaller town on the Danube called Vienna. She makes music for the strange, which she recently inspired on the very large main stage of the Donauinselfest. Already her very first EP "Die Allerschönste Angst" was noticed in Germany (Tagesspiegel, Musikexpress and Radio PULS among others), "Ein sehr schöner Witz" in spring 2023 was followed by concerts with Die Sterne, Danger Dan, Juli and Gentleman, appearances at festivals like Deichbrand or Dockville Festival, as well as a nomination for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award.

With their new releases, RAHEL continues their musical development towards 80s synths in the style of Neue Deutsche Welle, straying more and more often to shrill guitars and quirky, iridescent lyricism. This mixture could be called a new interpretation of Dreampunk. Their first own tour is wild, grumpy and enraptured in the best sense of the word: when RAHEL invites you to dance, worries about the future and world-weariness go to sleep for a moment, and queer utopias glitter in the lowlands of everyday (relationship) life. That must be the great beauty she loves to sing about!
