Rainer Wein is a new event format at Objekt 5. The second event is called "TOWNES".

On December 1, 1995, the late Texan singer-songwriter Townes van Zandt played at Objekt 5. In January 2027, the 30th anniversary of the singer's death, the publication of a book entitled "Townes" is planned.

"Townes was sure of himself with his songs, they shared his life with him every day, they seized his thoughts anew every day, they tore him back and forth, drove him mad, made kindling out of his feelings in the morning and glued them back together in a song with whisky in the evening. "*

The author of the book, Rainer Albert Huppenbauer, will read a fictional dialog from the book beforehand. The reading will be accompanied musically by Jeremy Gabrysch (guitar, vocals) and Charles Csongar (guitar, backing vocals). Both musicians have dedicated themselves to van Zandt's songs and interpret them in their own individual way. Gabrysch and Csongar work together successfully in the band "Hâdzen".
