A fictional story from the life of a madman and a genius that you won’t want to miss. Müller-Thurgau, a drink created in Switzerland, helps the brilliant author Charles Bukowski make sense of even the most complex aspects of humanity’s past and future in a way that everyone can understand. The fact that Rainer Wein made up the story he’s about to present is irrelevant. No one notices.
The piece is further enhanced with musical reminiscences from the lifetime of the man at the center of the story. The musicians of the Halle-based duo Salon Pernod (Thomas Wittenbecher on accordion and Patrik Zörner on guitar) have arranged the music and will personally accompany the singer-reader.
And, of course, all paying guests receive a glass of Müller-Thurgau on the house. Well then, Charles, cheers.
