Ralph Moore and Joris Dudli met in the New York scene in the early nineties and have been waiting for an opportunity to play together again ever since. The result is a quartet tailor-made for Ralph with a great rhythm section consisting of Martin Sasse on piano, Ignasi Gonzalez on bass and Joris Dudli on drums. Over the course of his career, tenor saxophonist Ralph Moore has recorded and performed with a number of jazz stars, including Dizzy Gillespie, Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard, Ray Brown, Roy Haynes, J.J. Johnson, Cedar Walton, Bobby Hutcherson, McCoy Tyner, Roy Hargrove, Oscar Peterson, Kenny Barron and others.

Moore has released a number of critically acclaimed albums on the Landmark (now 32 Jazz), Criss Cross, Concord, Reservoir and Savoy labels.

For 15 years in the 1990s, he performed in the band on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. During that time, he never strayed from the purity of passion that drives him every day and has collaborated in several cooperative jazz quartets and quintets.

Now that he's well past The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Moore is ready to get back to what he is by nature: a jazz musician who plays and creates the music he loves. Recent performances include concerts with drummer Willie Jones' quartet at Jazz at Lincoln Center and collaborations with artists such as Jeremy Pelt, Lewis Nash, Eric Reed and Roy McCurdy. In 2024, Ralph Moore will embark on a quintet tour of Israel with pianist Tamir Hendelman to celebrate the 100th birthday of saxophonist Dexter Gordon.
