There are songs that feel like good, long-familiar friends from the very first listen, like a home bathed in summer sunshine. Ran Nir has the ability to write just such songs, with detailed sounds, anthemic melodies full of warmth, hope and lightness that make people dance or sway along childishly happy. Barefoot-running-through-the-grass songs that, for all their lightness, also carry wise contemplation and melancholy. Whereby heavy thoughts are always musically absorbed by velvety guitars, relaxed bass and Ran Nir's strong, warm voice. "Sad Music For Happy People - Happy Music For Sad People" is how Ran Nir likes to describe his music himself. The multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter, who grew up in Jerusalem, comes to us with songs from his 2nd solo album Greener Pastures, which was created in 2022 between Berlin, the Lüneburg Heath and Tel Aviv, and new songs from his upcoming album.
