Ran Nir
In the organizer's words:
There are songs that, from the very first listen, feel like good, long-time friends—like a home bathed in summer sunshine. Ran Nir has a knack for writing exactly those kinds of songs—songs with richly detailed sounds and anthemic melodies full of warmth, hope, and lightness—that make people dance or sway along with childlike joy. Songs that make you want to run barefoot through the grass—songs that, for all their lightheartedness, also carry a sense of wise contemplation and melancholy. Yet any heavy thoughts are always musically cushioned by velvety guitars, a laid-back bassline, and Ran Nir’s strong, warm voice. “Sad Music For Happy People – Happy Music For Sad People”—that’s how Ran Nir likes to describe his music himself. This multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter—who grew up in Jerusalem and now lives in Sweden—is a multiple gold and platinum record holder as a co-founder of Asaf Avidan & The Mojos. Ran has since won over fans around the world and on many radio stations with his own music and band, which now clearly has a more pop-oriented charm. After more than a decade, he’ll be playing alongside his MOJOS bandmate and drummer Yoni Sheleg again for the first time this evening.
Starting around 11 p.m., the party begins: Shuwerk delivers trashy, punk-infused industrial house with plenty of cowbells and arpeggios for hypnotic dancing.
