Rassismuskritische Radtour
PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:
On this bike tour, we want not only to visit some of Dresden’s memorial sites that explicitly commemorate racist events of the past, but also to take a critical look at current realities of discrimination in our city.
Where can we find traces of colonial structures, and how do they continue to affect us today? What happened during the “Baseball Bat Years” in Dresden? How do anti-Roma sentiment and poverty influence each other? What about anti-Jewish and anti-Muslim racism—and how does it affect those targeted?
Activists from several Dresden-based initiatives will present the current situation and their work.
Bike tour: approx. 5 kilometers, 7 stops, approx. 2 hours. Participation is at your own risk. Participants are responsible for their own bicycles, equipment, and (rain) clothing, as well as for complying with traffic regulations.
