Nature and music - a great theme. Landscapes between beauty and sublimity have always been a source of musical genius. Reason enough for the "Mannheim Summer" to make such popular pieces as Haydn's "Creation", Smetana's "Moldau" and Mendelssohn's "Hebrides Overture" the starting point for a classical open-air concert in Schwetzingen Palace Gardens.
The neo-romanticism of Mannheim composers Ziggy Has Ardeur and Konstantin Gropper - singer of the band "Get Well Soon" - also knows great emotions. In their almost film-musical orchestral work "Rhizom" for BUGA 24, they explore our relationship to the mysterious world of plants with a powerful sound: goosebumps are guaranteed...!
So enjoy the summer and a cool drink with the young conductor Sebastian Schwab, radio presenter Shelly Kupferberg and the National Theater Orchestra. Its name: "RE-CREATION" - fans of "Get Well Soon" and all friends of the NTO will be thrilled.
