The film will be followed by an on-site discussion with director Aljoscha Pause and protagonist Rainer Pause!
In his very personal film, filmmaker Aljoscha Pause tells the story of his father, Rainer Pause, who founded the renowned Pantheon cabaret theater on Bonn's Bundeskanzlerplatz in 1987 and still performs there today in the role of his character Fritz Litzmann. The film explores the motivations of an uncompromising artist and how his self-realization influenced the development of his son.
A journey by father and son to the sources of their dreams, ideas and fears - through German cabaret history, back to the Bonn Republic and the politically turbulent 1970s.
