Creative women - female composers in jazz

Numerous important jazz compositions from swing to the present day were written by women. Female musicians and composers such as Carla Bley helped to shape modern jazz and female composers have also made a decisive contribution to the further development of jazz in contemporary jazz. Some of these compositions, whose female authorship has often been overlooked in a rather male-dominated environment, are presented by the Regina Büchner Combination in their current program. The origins of the compositions range from the swing era to contemporary jazz. The quartet interprets the titles in their own exciting arrangements and, of course, one or two of Regina's own compositions are also in the repertoire.
