Regio Food Festival

On Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 4 pm to 10 pm, Freiburg's Münsterplatz (south side/in front of the historic department store) will be transformed into a meeting place for all those who love good food and want to know where it comes from. The Regio Food Festival brings regional products, artisan specialties and creative culinary ideas from the region directly to the city.

Numerous local producers present their products at the festival - fresh, handmade and with a lot of passion. Visitors can look forward to hearty classics, vegetarian and vegan specialties, traditional artisan products and a wide selection of drinks. Each offer tells a little story of origin, craftsmanship and regional diversity.

In addition to culinary delights, there is a varied supporting program: music by Mike Furtwängler creates a great atmosphere, hands-on activities invite you to get active yourself and the producers are available for personal discussions and insights into their work. The atmosphere is deliberately uncomplicated, open and relaxed - ideal for an enjoyable evening in the city center.

The Feierabendmarkt aims to bring people from the region together and make regional businesses visible. The festival slogan "No frills - honest, diverse, regional" sums up the concept: authentic products, high-quality craftsmanship and genuine regional ties.

The Regio Food Festival is organized by the Badischer Landwirtschaftlicher Hauptverband (BLHV), with the kind support of Volksbank Freiburg, AOK - Die Gesundheitskasse Südlicher Oberrhein, Citydruck and the regional brand "Natürlich. VON DAHEIM" regional brand of the state of Baden-Württemberg.
