He is considered one of the greatest adventurers of our time: Reinhold Messner is coming to Weingarten with his lecture "Life at the Limit". On Saturday, February 28, 2026, the mountaineering legend can be experienced at the Kultur- & Kongresszentrum Weingarten.

Messner will talk about his most extreme undertakings - from the eight-thousanders of the Himalayas to expeditions in ice and desert regions. He was the first person to climb all 14 of the world's eight-thousanders, many of them in alpine style and without supplemental oxygen. His lecture is far more than a review of extraordinary achievements: Messner talks about risk, responsibility, failure and the question of why people are always searching for their limits.

With impressive images and personal reflections, Reinhold Messner gives an insight into a life beyond the ordinary - authentic, clear and thought-provoking.
