Repair Café

On Saturday, the Altstadtschmiede Recklinghausen is once again hosting a Repair Café. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can bring along broken everyday items and repair them together with experienced volunteers.

Whether broken toasters, wobbly chairs, non-functioning lamps or torn seams, the Repair Café is all about conserving resources, avoiding waste and sharing craftsmanship. The café also provides a relaxed atmosphere for interesting conversations and encounters, not to mention coffee and cake!

What will be repaired? Anything that can be carried and checked on site with reasonable effort: Small appliances, household items, textiles, bicycles and much more. If you have spare parts, please bring them with you.
