Julius Asal is one of the shooting stars of the international piano scene: in 2023 he received an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon, which quickly made him known to a wider audience. He now performs regularly at renowned concert halls such as London's Wigmore Hall, Vienna's Musikverein and Tokyo's Suntory Hall. He concludes his Siegburg program with Rachmaninov's 13 Préludes op. 32, which, with their melancholy and pathetic tonal language, dramatic upswings and dynamic climaxes, represent a highlight of late Romantic piano music.
