After-Work Retrace! Trash Pickup: Working Together for a Trash-Free Schanzenpark 🌍💙

Schanzenpark is perfect for long summer evenings—but unfortunately, that often leaves behind a lot of trash. As part of our monthly Retrace! trash cleanup events, we clean up together and raise awareness about how important it is to treat nature with respect.

Come by, lend a hand, and take an active stand for protecting our waterways!

📋 All the info at a glance

• 🗓️ Date: Tuesday, July 21
• ⏰ Time: 6:30 p.m. – approx. 9:00 p.m.
• 📍 Meeting point: Schanzenpark (Schröderstiftstraße, 20357 Altona)
  (Just look for our blue beach flag—we’ll set up our base on one of the lawns past the entrance from the Sternschanze subway station)

🔢 The Schedule

1. Cleanup: We’ll head out for 1 to 2 hours to collect cigarette butts, plastic, and other trash.
2. Tally: Afterward, we’ll sort and count what we collected. The data goes straight into Surfrider Foundation Europe’s Europe-wide database to drive policy change at the EU level. ♻️📊
3. Wrapping Up: Everything is, of course, voluntary—you decide how long you want to stay! 🙌
