The Fascinating World of Spiders & Insects
On October 3, 2026, the Spider and Insect Exhibition will be held at the Stadthalle in Künzelsau. The event offers visitors the opportunity to explore the diverse and often hidden world of invertebrates up close.
The exhibition features over 500 live and preserved specimens from various regions of the world. On display is an impressive range of animal species, including tarantulas, scorpions, insects, millipedes, mantises, snails, and various types of crustaceans. The goal of the exhibition is to provide in-depth insights into the biodiversity, way of life, and ecological significance of these animals.
A special highlight of the exhibition is the world’s largest living tarantula, the Goliath tarantula, as well as the world’s largest scorpion species, the Pandinus imperator, which offers visitors an extraordinary glimpse into the size of these fascinating creatures.
The event is aimed at a broad audience and is suitable for families as well as nature enthusiasts, school groups, and curious visitors of all ages. In addition to its interactive nature, the exhibition focuses on the objective transmission of knowledge.
