Robots surround us visibly or invisibly in many areas: for example, they manufacture vehicles, deliver parcels, vacuum our homes and are being used in more and more areas of life. How do robots recognize their environment, what principles do they follow and what role does artificial intelligence play in this? We will explore these questions in four themed evenings with practical examples to join in with. No previous knowledge is required. The dates do not build on each other and can be attended independently of each other. They will take place on the following Thursdays from 17:15 - 18:45:

• October 30: Sensors and actuators, upper deck room
• November 27: Control and programming, upper deck room
• December 11: Machine learning and AI, upper deck room
• January 15: Mechanics, in the MakerLab
