rockXplosion - Warmbronner Open Air Festival celebrates its anniversary from July 31 to August 2, 2026

Four decades loud, lively and firmly anchored in the region: when the rockXplosion - Warmbronner Open Air Festival celebrates its 40th anniversary, a festival will become a piece of living music history. From July 31 to August 2, 2026, Leonberg-Warmbronn will once again be transformed into a meeting place for all those who not only want to listen to live music, but also experience it.

What began in 1985 as the Warmbronn Open Air has developed over the years into a permanent fixture for rock, metal, punk and ska fans. Forty years full of summer nights, dusty paths, sweaty club shirts and honest guitar riffs - supported by voluntary commitment and the clear conviction that good music needs a stage.

For the anniversary, the line-up is at full strength: AVRALIZE, HALF ME and BLUTHUND are the headliners at the top of a program with a total of 27 bands that will shape the festival over three days. The line-up also includes ACCVSED, STESY, CONSVMER, FRIENDS DON'T LIE, MAVIS, ERECTION, FATEFUL FINALITY, YEAST MACHINE, GOLDMANN, ALLURE, SOKAE, DIE KRAKEELEN, AT THE SHORE, PRISON OF HOPE, GAFFA, IRRSINN, DUST & BONES, NACHBARDACH, WIRED BEANS, BROAD ISSUE, LONG SHIRT DUDES, FLOHZIRKUS ORQUESTRA, GROOVING GUITAR and CAMPFIRE. Three days, two stages and a sound that knows no boundaries: the musical spectrum ranges from powerful rock to metal and punk to ska. Familiar names meet new impulses, old companions meet fresh energy - and together they create exactly what has characterized this festival for decades.

Things also remain exciting around the stages. Special program items and activities are planned for the anniversary year that will make the 40th birthday tangible. In addition, there are the fixed components that have long been part of the experience: legendary after-show parties with metal karaoke and a pub feeling, the relaxed, informal atmosphere on the grounds and the unmistakable flair in Warmbronner Wald.
