ROOTS on the road: For this edition, the treppenhausorchester leaves its legendary founding venue and performs in the Casino Space Club on the 6th floor of the Intercity Hotel at the main station, a place between transit, encounter and departure.

In this concert, baroque linear art and contemporary soundscapes meet: music by Henry Purcell, Johann Sebastian Bach, Michael Gordon, Caroline Shaw and Andy Akiho spans an arc between strict counterpoint, floating sound architecture and pulsating energy.

Entire spaces emerge from a single note, fragile patterns condense into hypnotic movements, rhythmic structures begin to vibrate and open up new perspectives on old forms. The vibraphone expands the sound of the string quartet with dazzling resonances and connects the works across centuries.

In the midst of urban movement, concentrated listening creates an evening about resonance, structure and the shared experience of sound.
