Rosa Anschütz is a musician and sound artist. Her practice combines composition, installation and performance, fusing the dark atmosphere of post-punk and cold wave with ethereal polyphony and synth-driven melodies. She has released three LPs: Votive(2020), accompanied by nine sound sculptures inspired by votive offerings; Goldener Strom (2022), which was staged at the Deutsche Oper Berlin; and Interior (2024), consisting of nine tracks, each accompanied by a hand-embroidered sequin landscape made by Anschütz herself.
Her works have been shown and performed at the Goethe-Institut in Tokyo, Mayhem in Copenhagen, silent green, the Deutsche Oper and Künstler*innenhaus Bethanien in Berlin, Supersonic Records in Paris and Karmen Carmina in Strasbourg, among others. She has also been represented at numerous festivals.
Her latest work is the film music for How to Be Normal and The Oddness of the Other World, both directed by Florian Pochlatko. The films premiered at the 75th Berlinale in 2025.
Her new album Sabbatical was released in September 2025.
