Rose Festival
A festival of floral splendor

Westfalenpark Dortmund invites you to the popular "Rosy Times!" rose festival. Between flowering beds, fragrant shrubs and artistic decorations, everything revolves around the queen of flowers - the rose. The festival celebrates the arrival of summer and combines nature, garden art, music, creativity and enjoyment to create a special day in the countryside.

Diversity and inspiration in the countryside
Numerous exhibitors present a diverse range of plants, decorations, garden art and handmade items. In addition to roses and ornamental plants, you can expect natural cosmetics, herbs, rose cookies, jams and unique handicrafts. Knowledgeable experts will be on hand to offer advice on rose care and garden design.

Musical and creative supporting program
DORTMUND MUSIK will provide musical highlights: in the morning, singer/songwriter Sergio Gelsomino will delight visitors with soulful songs, followed by the flute ensemble "Traverso molto" and oboe students. Walk acts on stilts in floristic costumes will also provide magical moments in the park.

Children's program & hands-on activities
There is also plenty for children to discover:

• Creative activity "Flower sculptures" with Spielbogen e.V.
• Zentangle drawing in the Rainbow House (13:00-17:00)
• Wooden construction site for little craftspeople (13:00-17:00)
• Children's culture café in the Rainbow House: children's theater with Achim Sonntag ("Frog King or something...", 15:30)

• Solar Express (13:00-18:00) with special route and alternative stop at Kaiserhain
• Cable car (13:00-17:30) with panoramic view over the German Rosarium

Enjoyment & advice in the Rose Café
The Rose Café in and around the House of Roses invites you to linger with sweet and savory delicacies. The Friends of the German Rosarium offer expert advice on rose care and variety at the information stand.

Gastronomic offerings in the park
Outside the Rose Café, there is also plenty to eat and drink: the park's restaurateurs are open and there are also food stalls offering a range of culinary delights - from hearty specialties to sweet treats and refreshing drinks.
