20 years after the Trojan War, Odysseus is stranded on the shores of Ithaca. Now he is a stranger in his own country, which has changed dramatically. His wife is being harassed by suitors who are waiting for her to choose a new husband and king. Her son, a contender for the crown, is threatened with death. Scarred by war, Odysseus is no longer the hero he once was. But he must face up to his past in order to save his family.
