A summer in Corsica: Khédidja doesn’t hesitate for long when the wealthy Parisian family she works for as a nanny makes her this offer. She is to look after their children there—and her own two teenage daughters, Jessica and Farah, are allowed to come along. For Khédidja, it’s a return to her old home, since she had left the island 15 years ago with her children—who were still young at the time—under tragic circumstances. While she struggles with her memories, the two girls give in to all the temptations of summer: they enjoy days at the beach, make chance acquaintances, and have their first romantic experiences. But they, too, begin to question the past and wonder whether the version of their family history that their mother tells is the only true one.
